With a playoff win on the line, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Phoenix recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic got a great performance from Dylan McNeil as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). McNeil has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jadin Soto, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Keith Jacobs, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
