The Odessa Tigers were the 60-59 winner over the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Odessa fell just short of Almira-Coulee-Hartline by a score of 52-50. Odessa has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Defeat or not, Odessa got some senior leadership from Jacob Scrupps who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and Dakota Steward who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Scrupps scored a full 54% of Odessa's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Odessa's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-3. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Odessa will take on Entiat in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Entiat is ranked 189th, while Odessa is ranked 169th). As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, they will head out on the road to face off against Manson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
