The Port St. Lucie Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 13-6 to Centennial. Port St. Lucie lost against Centennial in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-0 score last time.
Centennial can attribute much of their success to Phillip Di Marco, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Centennial's defense and their five sacks. Eddie Keyes III was especially locked on to Port St. Lucie's QB and sacked him 3.5 times.
Port St. Lucie's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.3 points per game. As for Centennial, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
Port St. Lucie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centennial also has no future games currently scheduled.
