The Fremont Silverwolves waltzed into Tuesday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 win over Morgan. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fremont also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
Fremont was led to victory by Abigail Christensen and Kale Brian. Christensen scored 11 points along with five rebounds, while Brian scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Brian. The team also got some help courtesy of Ama Herrick, who scored 11 points.
Fremont pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Morgan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on Bear River at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Stansbury is ranked 113th, while Morgan is ranked 98th).
