Garrett Pollock made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kahle Lee, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Rhode, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
