The Seymour Owls suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Franklin Community on the road and fell 66-36. Franklin Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scarlett Kimbrell, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Kimbrell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Erica Buening was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Seymour are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11. As for Franklin Community, their win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will take on Charlestown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlestown is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Franklin Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whiteland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
