Southern School of Energy and Sustainability is a perfect 4-0 against Louisburg since February of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Louisburg will be up against a hot Southern School of Energy and Sustainability squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability blew past J.F. Webb 58-18 on Wednesday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Warriors are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aliyah Herndon out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. Herndon is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hudson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 18 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Louisburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They really took it to South Granville for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-39 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Warriors just coasted through the last quarter.
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability better keep an eye on CHLOE ARRINGTON. She was instrumental in Louisburg's win, going 15-for-30 to rack up 33 points along with six assists and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which ARRINGTON has scored at least a third of Louisburg's points. OMARI JACKSON was another key player, going 5-for-7 on her way to 13 points and three steals.
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points over those games. As for Louisburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 45.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Louisburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability against Louisburg in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 62-19 victory. In that match, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability amassed a halftime lead of 43-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
