The Central Heights Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 25-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kansas City Christian School. Central Heights lost against Kansas City Christian School in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 38-25 score last time.
Despite the loss, Central Heights still got an impressive performance from Melaney Chrisjohn, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds. Chrisjohn scored a full 55% of Central Heights' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Evans, who scored 2 points along with 10 rebounds.
Central Heights' defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Kansas City Christian School, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Central Heights will head out on the road to face off against Lyndon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kansas City Christian School will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Heritage Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
