Self-inflicted fumble
Four-star Mississippi State commit pulls off punt return of the year.
You won't find
Kylin Hill of
Columbus (Miss.) slipping for too long.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Mississippi State commit pulled off arguably the wildest punt return in high school football this season.
The nation's No. 14 senior running back fielded a punt, weaved through the defense and cut back across the field before things got interesting. Hill was coasting to a 70-yard touchdown and then suddenly dropped the ball at the 25-yard line.
But he was not to be denied. He slid quickly and scooped up the ball as two defenders ate the dirt. Hill then rumbled 20 yards and flew into the end zone to cap off the crazy touchdown - with style points for the finish.
Hill's efforts spurred the Falcons to a 26-12 victory Kemper Hill.
The four-star running back posted 1,750 rushing yards, 2,288 all-purpose yards and 23 total touchdowns in leading the Falcons to the first round of the Mississippi Class 6A playoffs last season. Hill has Columbus off to a 1-1 start and is poised for a huge year.
