Softball Game Preview: Glacier Peak Grizzlies vs. Cascade Bruins

Glacier Peak is a perfect 5-0 against Cascade since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. Glacier Peak will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Glacier Peak took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Snohomish, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Grizzlies skirted past the Panthers 4-2.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cascade and Stanwood meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bruins came up short against the Spartans, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tessa Hahn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Cascade dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Glacier Peak, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Glacier Peak skirted past Cascade 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
