Menno has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Freeman Flyers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Menno and Freeman are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
After soaring to 61 points the game before, Menno were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-19 loss at the hands of Ethan. Menno has struggled against Ethan recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Freeman entered their tilt with Centerville with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Freeman walked away with a 71-63 victory over Centerville on Tuesday. With that victory, Freeman brought their scoring average up to 51.7 points per game.
Freeman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Aasen, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aasen has scored all season. Tate Sorensen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Menno bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Freeman, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Menno suffered a grim 60-34 defeat to Freeman in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Menno avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
