The Lincoln Park Railsplitters entered their tilt with the Carlson Marauders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lincoln Park came out on top against Carlson by a score of 57-49 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln Park also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Carlson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brendan Stanley, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. Stanley scored a full 36.7% of Carlson's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brody Lavis was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 assists.
Lincoln Park pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Carlson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Lincoln Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlson, they will head out on the road to face off against Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
