The Bethlehem Center Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Bentworth 54-48. Bethlehem Center has struggled against Bentworth recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Bethlehem Center lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brody Tharp. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Parker Amos, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Bentworth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Burt out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Burt also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Harper, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Bethlehem Center has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Bentworth, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-9.
Bethlehem Center will head out on the road to take on Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bentworth, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against California at 7:30 p.m.
