Sussex Central have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Colonial Beach at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close game.
Sussex Central couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Essex three weeks ago, falling 0-41. Sussex Central were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
Last Friday, Colonial Beach came up short against Franklin, falling 26-40.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
