In what's become a running theme this season, the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They breezed by Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame at home to the tune of 54-18. Given Almira-Coulee-Hartline's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame is ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Almira-Coulee-Hartline found their leader in underclassman Peyton Roberts, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Whitaker, who scored eight points.
Almira-Coulee-Hartline has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Almira-Coulee-Hartline will take on Republic at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame on the road again on Saturday and play against Odessa at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Odessa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday.
