The Ferriday Trojans will be playing at home against the Rayville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Ferriday's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Plaquemine, falling 55-20. Ferriday was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jerry Griffin jr, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Ellis was another key contributor, rushing for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three games, Rayville finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of Mangham.
Ferriday now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rayville, they now also have a losing record at 4-5.
Ferriday couldn't quite finish off Rayville in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 and fell 20-18. Will Ferriday have more luck at home instead of on the road?
