The East St. Louis Flyers waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 57-52 W over Alton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as East St. Louis also won the last time the pair played back in January.
East St. Louis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Robert McCline, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Powell, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
East St. Louis' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Alton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East St. Louis will square off against University City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in University City's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Alton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against O'Fallon at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th.
