J.H. Rose is 9-1 against South Central since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rampants will be playing at home against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
J.H. Rose's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Northside - Jacksonville. The Rampants haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Owen Hardee tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joyner Haddock, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
J.H. Rose always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside - Jacksonville only posted an OBP of .158.
South Central's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Jacksonville on Friday. The Falcons blew past Farmville Central 15-9.
Brody Brannan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brannan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Isaiah James was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aiden Parker, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
South Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for J.H. Rose, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. J.H. Rose has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
J.H. Rose came out on top in a nail-biter against South Central in their previous matchup on April 8th, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Rampants repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
