West Campus's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Foothill Mustangs 16-5. Considering the Warriors have won seven matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Analisa Mederos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Mederos was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sophia Quiroz was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
West Campus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill only posted an OBP of .458.

Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Foothill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Campus will welcome Fairfield at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season.
