There's no place like home for the Bremen Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Central Noble with a 58-52 victory on Friday. With that victory, Bremen brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Bremen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Silas Laidig, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Laidig scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Chase Devine, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Bremen's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Central Noble, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
Bremen will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Bend Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Da'Kori Parker and Devine. Central Noble will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against East Noble at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
