Basketball Game Preview: Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees vs. Fort Knox Eagles

Bethlehem is 7-1 against Fort Knox since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees will be playing at home against the Fort Knox Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bethlehem has five straight victories, Fort Knox has 24 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Bethlehem is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Nelson County 82-60 on Friday. The Eagles/Banshees have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Bethlehem got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Leah Macy out in front who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 11 boards, and 12 assists. Macy is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Loren Macy was another key player, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten boards.

Leah wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bethlehem was working as a unit and finished the game with 31 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Fort Knox might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Southern an easy 36-15 victory.

Bethlehem's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Fort Knox, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Bethlehem against Fort Knox when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 105-6 victory. Does Bethlehem have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Knox turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
