Centerville is 9-1 against Winchester Community since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Golden Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Centerville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Centerville barely beat Cambridge City Lincoln the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Golden Eagles on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Madi Yount was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Lilly Day was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Centerville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are 9-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Winchester Community and Bluffton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Golden Falcons fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. Golden Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Thursday.
Aviana Ramos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That home run was her first of the season.
Centerville's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Winchester Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Winchester Community's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Centerville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Winchester Community, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Centerville keep running through batters, or will the Golden Falcons buck the trend?
