The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They managed a 14-10 victory over Webb. This was payback for Boyd-Buchanan, who suffered a 42-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Houston Hicks threw for 165 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes. On the ground, Asher Keck rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Boyd-Buchanan's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. As for Webb, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyd-Buchanan will face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Boyd-Buchanan is ranked 29th). As for Webb, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeway Christian Academy on Friday.
