After a string of six wins, the Wesclin Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were dealt a 59-28 loss at the hands of Greenville. Wesclin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-16.
Katie Campbell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greenville, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Campbell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Veith, who scored 17 points.
Wesclin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Greenville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Wesclin will head out on the road to take on Vandalia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vandalia has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. Greenville will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Centralia at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Centralia and Greenville are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
