King/Drew took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 23-7 margin over Locke. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Golden Eagles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Meanwhile, Harbor Teacher strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Dorsey 17-3. Considering the Monarchs have won three games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

Figueroa also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Alexa Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Harbor Teacher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
The win got King/Drew back to even at 2-2. As for Harbor Teacher, their record is now 4-0.
King/Drew got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Harbor Teacher by a conclusive 8-2 score. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Monarchs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
