The West Clermont Wolves will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Lebanon Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Clermont waltzed into Saturday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Talawanda 61-28 at home. With that victory, West Clermont brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Taylor Schmidt and Layla Hale were among the main playmakers for West Clermont as the former scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the latter scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hale has scored at least 25% of West Clermont's points. Another player making a difference was Maddi Fender, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Lebanon slipped by Kings 39-38 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lebanon.
West Clermont's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lebanon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
West Clermont took their win against Lebanon in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 65-45. Will West Clermont repeat their success, or does Lebanon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
