The Seaforth Hawks will square off against the Jordan Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, Seaforth came up short against NCSSM: Durham and fell 3-1.
While Seaforth ultimately came up short, they really made NCSSM: Durham work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-12.
Seaforth's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kleber Corzo, who had 21 digs and two aces, and Zach Evans, who had ten kills, three digs, and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Winger, who had 11 digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, Jordan faced Triangle Math & Science Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Falcons came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 11th.
Jordan was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Triangle Math & Science Academy work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 26-24, 25-20.
Seaforth's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
