Minneapolis is 8-2 against Republic County since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Minneapolis Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Republic County Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. Minneapolis comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Tuesday, Minneapolis took a serious blow against Ellsworth, falling 53-25. Minneapolis has not had much luck with Ellsworth recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Republic County had to suffer through a rough 85-17 loss at the hands of Beloit. While losing is never fun, Republic County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Beloit is ranked 22nd).
Minneapolis' loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Republic County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Minneapolis strolled past Republic County when the teams last played back in February by a score of 47-32. Does Minneapolis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Republic County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
