Enterprise never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the JAG Jaguars 15-0. Considering the Wildcats have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brady Cavanaugh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Mikey Vanderheyden and Walker Turner did most of the damage at the plate: Vanderheyden went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one stolen base, while Turner scored two runs while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs Turner has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Hayes Woodall, who scored a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as JAG only posted a batting average of .100.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Enterprise, bringing their record up to 20-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of five runs across that stretch. As for JAG, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
Enterprise will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jaguars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
