The Eastern Ramblers will take on the South Lakes Seahawks in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at. Eastern will be strutting in after a win while South Lakes will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Eastern faced Ballou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Eastern's way against Ballou as Eastern made off with a 50-26 victory. Eastern might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 22 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Samia Greene, who scored 28 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lanaia Martin, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Lakes' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of McLean by a score of 48-45.
Eastern's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1-1. As for South Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
