The Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Harrisville 59-32. While losing is never fun, Ogdensburg Free Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 647th, while Harrisville is ranked 85th).
Harrisville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Shepherd, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shepherd has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Sullivan, who scored 17 points.
Ogdensburg Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Harrisville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Ogdensburg Free Academy will head out on the road to challenge Potsdam at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Potsdam will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Harrisville, they will take on Northern Adirondack at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
