Football Recap: Cascade Piles Up the Points Against Guerin Catholic

It's playoff time, and Cascade had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles, posting a 49-21 win. Considering the Cadets have won 11 games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cascade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Trebley, who threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Trebley has posted since back in August. Toby Savini also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cascade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 250 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Cascade's record now sits at 12-0. As for Guerin Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Coming up, Cascade will challenge Lawrenceburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight. Guerin Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
