The pair will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-39, which was the final score in Washington-Wilkes' tilt against the Screaming Devils on Saturday. Washington-Wilkes was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.
Meanwhile, Lake Oconee Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Lamar County, falling 71-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Oconee Academy has scored all season.
Washington-Wilkes dropped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.
Washington-Wilkes couldn't quite finish off the Titans when the teams last played back in January and fell 35-33. Can Washington-Wilkes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
