Christopher and Sesser-Valier are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Christopher Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Sesser-Valier Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Christopher came up short against Vienna and fell 61-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Christopher in their matchups with Vienna: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Sesser-Valier's game on Friday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Goreville. Sesser-Valier just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Christopher has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Sesser-Valier, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.
Christopher took their win against Sesser-Valier in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 64-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christopher since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
