Fort LeBoeuf is 1-9 against General McLane since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bison will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fort LeBoeuf had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Warren on Monday. The Bison put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 9-2 victory. That looming 9-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bison yet this season.
Ethan Bliley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nick Askins, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fort LeBoeuf kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but General McLane ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Cathedral Prep 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Jackson Kiser was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
Kiser wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Swanson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Fort LeBoeuf's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for General McLane, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
