The Rivera Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Pace Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rivera lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mercedes, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Raiders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won four contests in a row.
Kiley Trevino was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last four matchups. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Danna Ramirez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Jocelyn Vela was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Rivera kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 6-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Pace made easy work of Donna North on Tuesday and carried off a 16-0 win.
Megan Mares was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Vasquez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Rivera's record now sits at 8-9-1. As for Pace, their record is now 17-0-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Rivera has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rivera came up short against Pace when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 6-3. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
