Volleyball Recap: Timberland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Timberland came into Saturday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Troy-Buchanan Trojans on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the T-Wolves have posted since April 13, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Timberland who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-19.

Callen Taylor paced Timberland's offense, picking up 14 kills. Taylor got some help from Daniel Fumagalli and his 28 assists. Justin Bennett controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Timberland's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Troy-Buchanan, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Timberland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Liberty on the 15th. As for Troy-Buchanan, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fort Zumwalt North on the 14th.
