After a string of six wins, Rowe's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the McAllen Bulldogs by a score of 49-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 335th).

Dylan Benavidez was nothing short of spectacular for McAllen: he posted 15 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Babat Akindayomi, who earned eight points.

Rowe's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for McAllen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowe will square off against Sharyland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McAllen, they will welcome Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McAllen is facing Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest at the right time seeing as Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
