There's no place like home for Sumiton Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Cold Springs a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Sumiton Christian has won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sumiton Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cold Springs, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-17-2.
