Harding Academy fell just short of Northpoint Christian by a score of 33-30. It was the first time this season that Harding Academy let down their fans at home.
When it comes to explaining why Harding Academy lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Emory Miller. Despite the final result, she scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica McGary, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Harding Academy's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Northpoint Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Harding Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Lausanne Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northpoint Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. George's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. George's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
