After four games on the road, Dundy County-Stratton is heading back home. They will take on the St. Patrick's Irish at TBD on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Dundy County-Stratton's game was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over Southwest.
Dundy County-Stratton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clara Spargo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Schneider, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Patrick's beat the Trojans 42-36 on Saturday.
Dundy County-Stratton has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for St. Patrick's, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14.
Dundy County-Stratton might still be hurting after the 49-26 loss they got from the Irish in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Dundy County-Stratton, Tonja Heirigs (who scored 22 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
