Carlos Ortega posted a new career-high in doubles on Thursday. He scored four runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Questa's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-11 when he doesn't).

Ortega's strong effort led Questa over Mesa Vista and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are a perfect 9-0 against the Trojans going back to April of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
