Baseball Recap: New Berlin West Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Berlin West had no problem doing just that on Friday. They beat the St. Catherine's Angels by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 23-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

New Berlin West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Catherine's, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Looking ahead, New Berlin West will face off against St. Thomas More on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. St. Catherine's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
