The Beekmantown Eagles lost to the Northeastern Clinton Cougars back in February, but the Beekmantown Eagles didn't allow the Northeastern Clinton Cougars the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Beekmantown simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northeastern Clinton 79-46 on the road.
Northeastern Clinton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Brown, who scored 16 points. The contest was Brown's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Rabideau, who scored 12 points.
Beekmantown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northeastern Clinton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beekmantown will face off against Hadley Luzerne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hadley Luzerne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while Beekmantown is ranked 231st). Northeastern Clinton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Heuvelton Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th.
