The Laramie Plainsmen will head out on the road to square off against the Campbell County Camels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Laramie is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Thunder Basin, who was ranked 11th at the time (Laramie was ranked third). Laramie had just enough and edged Thunder Basin out 61-59.

Laramie's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Max Alexander, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Alexander has posted since back in March of 2024. Jaden Smith was another key player, going 6 of 8 to rack up 19 points.
Laramie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Campbell County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Thunderbirds by a score of 71-64.
Laramie better keep an eye on Lane Hladky. He was instrumental in Campbell County's win, going 8 for 15 en route to 29 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Hladky's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Andela, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.
Laramie's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. As for Campbell County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Laramie has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30 boards per game. However, it's not like Campbell County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Laramie came out on top in a nail-biter against Campbell County in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 61-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Laramie since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
