Continental's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Olivia Crossgrove, who dropped a double-double on 14 rebounds and ten blocks, and Morgan Shock who scored three points. Crossgrove is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted five or more in the last four games she's played.
Continental dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.1 points per game. As for Wayne Trace, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Continental will head out on the road to challenge Montpelier at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Continental comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Wayne Trace, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. Crestview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wayne Trace in Ohio (Crestview is ranked 42nd, while Wayne Trace is ranked 275th).
