The Jasper Vikings waltzed into their contest on Friday with 17 straight wins but they left with 18. They blew past East Limestone 67-41. Jasper has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Jasper's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Hollingsworth, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Hollingsworth is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. Missy Odom was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.
Jasper's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.2 points. As for East Limestone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.
Jasper will face off against West Point at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Point's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. East Limestone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
