The Austin Mustangs's and the Sharpstown Apollos's game on Saturday was close at halftime, but the Austin Mustangs turned on the heat in the second half with 25 points. Austin blew past Sharpstown 34-13. Austin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 21 points or more this season.
Austin found their leader in underclassman Ashtian Glass, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiney Armstrong, who scored 6 points.
Austin's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Sharpstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will take on Houston Math Science & Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Houston Math Science & Tech's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Austin's offense will have their work cut out for Austin. Sharpstown will be home for the holidays to greet Milby at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
