The Issaquah Eagles will face off against the Woodinville Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Issaquah's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Woodinville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Issaquah's win against Hazen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Highlanders 3-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Landon Gray and Raghav Madan dominated on the mound. Gray tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Madan pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Issaquah secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Griffin Neel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Woodinville came out on top against Skyline on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Falcons took their match against the Spartans 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Cooper Angellar looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alex Wenzel was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kyson Kleve was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Woodinville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline struck out seven times.
Woodinville's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Issaquah, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Issaquah skirted past Woodinville 3-1 when the teams last played on April 2nd. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
