Big Bear had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They claimed a resounding 80-43 victory over the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Big Bear's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Brewer led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Brewer's third in a row with at least ten points. Savion Sorapuru was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Big Bear smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 18 consecutive contests.

Big Bear has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Big Bear will host California Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. California Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.9 points per game this season. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they are taking a road trip to take on Silver Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
